Sunset Hills Police said the woman cleaned the home the same day the rings went missing. Police found she also pawned earrings belonging to the victim, according to court documents.
A house cleaner is accused of stealing a wedding ring set valued at $14,800 from a Sunset Hills home. Tara Thomas, 37, of the 100 block of Margaux Court in St. Charles County, was charged by the St. Louis County Prosecutor’s Office Feb. 21 with felony stealing. Sunset Hills Police said Thomas cleaned the home Dec. 12, the same day the rings went missing. An investigation showed Thomas pawned some earrings belonging to the woman who owned the wedding ring set. Police said Thomas also pawned the rings for $325. Bail was set at $10,000 for Thomas. Approximately $6,300 in valuables have been recovered, Sunset Hills Police said.
A resident in the 11700 block of Parkhaven Court called Sunset Hills Police on Feb. 6 when they discovered several items, including jewelry and other collectibles, missing from the home. Officers responded to the home around 12:33 p.m., according to the report, and discovered forced entry to the home. Approximately $44,000 in valuables was taken. Missing items totaling approximately $6,300 have been recovered, police said. A suspect has not yet been taken into custody.

A Crestwood woman faces additional charges in Ladue, where police said she sold jewelry and silverware stolen by her boyfriend, Justin Roux, who formerly worked for a landscaping company. Roux faces theft charges in Ladue, in addition to charges for the two in Crestwood, Glendale and Creve Coeur. The stolen items in the charges were valued at $103,106. Tracy Rockwell, 22, of the 9100 block of Grant Farm Trail in Crestwood, was charged Tuesday with five counts of receiving stolen property. Ladue Police said she sold the following stolen property: Police said she knew the items were stolen. Bail for Rockwell was set at $15,000 on the five charges in Ladue. An Ellisville man, already accused of theft-related crimes in Crestwood, Glendale, and Ladue, now can add Creve Coeur to the list. Creve Coeur Police said Justin Roux, 22, stole four rings from a home on Chatfield Place in Creve Coeur. The rings were valued at $7,700, according to a police report. The owner had hired a gardening service to work on her residence at the time the rings were stolen, between May 24 and May 28. A detective discovered that Roux, who worked for the gardening service, had pawned the four rings. The Creve Coeur detective was honored earlier for solving the case and locating much of the stolen jewelry. Police said the Friendship Village resident's jewelry was valued at $1,300.
Approximately $1,300 in jewelry is missing from a Friendship Village resident, and Sunset Hills police believe the jewelry was taken. The items were reported taken on Aug. 21, according to police reports. It is the third theft at the senior living facility in the last few months. A resident said just over $100 was taken from their room in August. A former employee was charged with stealing two rings, valued at $4,500, on Aug. 13. Police said Lynnette Michel, of Bella Villa, pawned one ring and sold the other to a gold dealer to get money to buy heroin, according to a previous Patch report. Related stories:

A man charged with stealing jewelry valued at more than $200,000 in Ladue also faces stealing related charges in Glendale and Crestwood. His girlfriend also is charged with stealing.
