A man already accused of robbing Reliance Bank in Fenton now faces criminal charges connected to a Chesterfield Walgreens robbery Aug. 15. Joseph Haring, 27, of the 100 block of Sugar Mountain in Fenton, was charged Tuesday with first-degree robbery in connection with the Walgreen incident. Haring was struck by an ambulance just a few days after the robbery. He was charged Sept. 12 with second-degree robbery and resisting arrest for an Aug. 29 incident at Reliance Bank. Chesterfield Police said Haring robbed the Walgreens at 917 East Chesterfield Parkway at about 6 p.m. Aug 15. Police said Haring was armed with a knife when he stole cigarette cartons from Walgreens. A man who was struck by an ambulance on Interstate 44 nearly two weeks ago is out of the hospital, and in handcuffs. The St. Louis County Prosecuting Attorney’s Office issued warrants Wednesday on Joseph L. Haring, 27, of the 100 block of Sugar Mountain, in Fenton, for one count of Robbery in the Second Degree, and one count of Resisting by Flight. A $100,000 cash-only bond has been issued. Warrants were issued after St. Louis County Police responded to a bank robbery that occurred August 29 at the Reliance Bank, 1000 South Highway Drive, Fenton. Police have identified the pedestrian struck by a vehicle on Interstate 44 Friday morning as a man wanted for questioning in a Fenton bank robbery earlier this week. The pedestrian was identified by Missouri State Highway Patrol as Joseph L. Haring. A Missouri State Highway Patrol crash report indicated Haring was walking on the inside shoulder of the highway and into the roadway when he was hit by the ambulance. The ambulance swerved to the right in an effort to avoid Haring, but he was struck by the left side of the ambulance, the report said.
