Capt. Roman Stolarski has been with the Mehlville Fire Protection District for 11 years.
The Mehlville Fire Protection District has a new captain with the promotion of Roman Stolarski. The board of directors voted unanimously in closed meeting Wednesday to move the former private up to captain. Stolarski has been with Mehlville fire since 2001 and previously worked for the busiest station in the St. Louis Fire Department. The district hasn’t had any issues with employees using social media inappropriately, but is trying to stay ahead of the curve. Hendricks introduced the measure at a board meeting July 5 and officials fine-tuned the policy after meeting with the firefighter union representatives.
