MoDOT: Drivers Slow Down for Striping Crews

The Missouri Department of Transportation reports the St. Louis Work zones for May 9-15.

MoDOT's maintenance crews are continuing to work daily on touching up striping on state roads around the region. Drivers should be aware of slow moving maintenance operations on roadways as crews continue to work on putting on a new coat of paint. When drivers see a MoDOT vehicle with flashing lights, they should remember to slow down or move over to avoid the work ahead.  Often three or more maintenance vehicles will be spaced out over some distance to complete maintenance work. In St. Louis County, blasting operations on southbound I-270 near Big Bend is scheduled weekdays at 1 p.m., and will continue weekly, weather permitting. Both directions of Interstate 270 will have a rolling closure and potential stopped traffic for approximately …

I-64 Fully Closed Downtown this Weekend for Jefferson Bridge Removal

The Missouri Department of Transportation reports on the St. Louis work zones for April 18-24.

The Missouri Department of Transportation will close the ramp from Pine Street to westbound Interstate 64 at 9 a.m., Thursday as part of the Jefferson Avenue bridge closure. The Jefferson Avenue bridge over I-64 will close on Friday morning at 1 a.m., for approximately three months. Motorists can use Compton Avenue, 18th Street and 14th Street to detour around the closure. MoDOT will close all lanes on I-64 in both directions between Hampton and Jefferson this weekend starting at 8 p.m., Friday. Entrance ramps to eastbound I-64 will be closed from McCausland to Ewing avenues. In addition, entrance ramps to westbound I-64 will be closed from Broadway to Grand avenues. All lanes and ramps on I-64 will reopen by 5 a.m., Monday, except for the…

There needs to be signs posted at the Eager Rd (left lane for Eager Rd EAST / middle lane Target Promenade & Eager Rd EAST / right lane Eager Rd WEST) at the exit heading South from 170. There are two lanes but everyone exits on the right lane onto Eager and cuts everyone off in the left lane to go EAST on Eager. The signs should be hung along the side of the 40 West overpass. MoDOT: Watch, Slow Down For Spring Road Repairs

Missouri Department of Transportation reports the St. Louis work zones for April 11- 17.

Missouri Department of Transportation workers will be busy the next few months with routine and seasonal tasks, such as pavement repairs and crack sealing. Motorists should watch for slow moving or stopped vehicles with flashing lights in traffic lanes on interstates and other busy roadways. MoDOT has scheduled nighttime closures of ramps on the Poplar Street Bridge next week so crews can complete preventative maintenance on the ramps, weather permitting.  The current schedule for ramp repairs is: Motorists should be aware of the following on-going closures:

Volunteers Needed for MoDOT's 'No MOre Trash! Bash' Saturday

Join the Missouri Department of Transportation, community leaders and other volunteers to help pick up litter on Missouri roads.

Join the Missouri Department of Transportation (MoDOT), community leaders and other volunteers for the department's annual "No More Trash! Bash" on April 6. MoDOT will supply participants with trash bags, safety vests, litter pickers and gloves and will guide volunteers along the routes while picking up litter. The goal of the event is to spread awareness of Missouri's litter problem and work toward a litter-free state. Go! St. Louis Marathon to Close Several I-64 Ramps Downtown

The Missouri Department of Transportation reports on St. Louis work zones for April 4-10.

Several ramps on eastbound and westbound Interstate 64 will be closed Sunday in support of the Go! St. Louis marathon and half-marathon. The ramps from westbound I-64 to Forest Park Avenue, 3000 Market Street and 21st Street, as well as the ramp from eastbound I-64 to Market/Bernard will be closed from 5 a.m. to 3 p.m. Sunday. The ramps from eastbound I-64 to Chestnut and 6th Street will be closed from 5 a.m. to 10 a.m. In addition, Chouteau Avenue will be closed from 12th Street to Broadway from 6 a.m. to 10 a.m. Crews will close all lanes for about 15 minutes on northbound and southbound I-270 between I-64 and I-44 at 1 p.m. starting Wednesday, April 10. MoDOT: I-64 Closed This Weekend between Hampton and Forest Park Parkway

The Missouri Department of Transportation reports the St. Louis work zones for March 28 to April 3.

During this holiday weekend, motorists need to be aware of two major impacts to traffic.   All lanes and ramps of Interstate 64 between Hampton and Forest Park avenues will be closed from Friday night until early Monday morning. In addition, westbound Interstate 70 at the Blanchette Missouri River Bridge will be reduced to only one lane open late Friday night until early Saturday morning. The detour for westbound I-64 will be to get off the interstate at the Forest Park Avenue exit (exit 38A) and follow Forest Park Avenue to Kingshighway. After turning left onto Kingshighway, drivers will follow Kingshighway back to the interstate.   The detour for eastbound I-64 will be to get off the interstate at the Hampton Avenue exit (exit 34B), turn…
