No Plans for New Year’s Eve? It's Not Too Late.

Local restaurants and hotels still have space available to make New Year’s Eve special.

There is still time to plan your New Year's Eve party when you let one of the local hometown favorite hotspots plan it for you. Many of your local restaurants and hotels are offering great package deals for New Year's Eve. Local restauranteur looks for a decent crowd Friday night, but maybe not so much on Saturday because of 'recovery' time.

For some folks, New Year's Eve means a quiet dinner with family; others like to include friends, and then there are those to whom the words New Year's Eve is synonymous with "party." "New Year's Eve has changed drastically in the last few years," according to Crestwood resident Bill Kunz, owner of Highway 61 Roadhouse Restaurant-Bar in Webster Groves. "In the past it always meant a big day for a bar or restaurant but in today's economy and the worries about driving while intoxicated, people are having more parties at home. If a bar or restaurant is going to attract people they need to create a very attractive offer," Kunz said.
