The family behind Women's Closet Exchange is starring in "Resale Royalty," which premieres May 12 on Style Network.
The trio of women behind Women’s Closet Exchange, 11575 Gravois Rd., have an eye for the divine--it's one of the reasons they were sought to start in a new reality TV show, according to a recent OK! Magazine feature. Owner Sue McCarthy and daughters Diana Ford and Laura Maurice can be spotted on Style Network's "Resale Royalty," which debuts on May 12 at 8 p.m. Hollywood stylist Rachel Zoe is listed as an executive producer. Adam Cella was quite literally kicked out of the reality TV competition--a moment he told Knuckle Junkies he didn’t remember until he saw it on television. He's still considering the experience a career win.
Fenton’s Adam Cella, who trains at Finney’s MMA in Crestwood, told Knuckle Junkies that his experience on “The Ultimate Fighter 17” earlier this year is "opening up a door" for new career opportunities. While he took down the “Honey Bear” in his first fight on the show, Cella’s run on the show ended with a knockout kick from Uriah Hall in the third episode. (Hall is participating in the upcoming final tournament, according to MMA Junkie.) The trio of women who run a successful designer resale boutique in South County are used to national attention, and next month they’ll begin a new adventure in reality TV. Owner Sue McCarthy and daughters Diana Ford and Laura Maurice run Women’s Closet Exchange, 11575 Gravois Rd. Their store has received nods from RFT and St. Louis Magazine for their top-notch (albeit secondhand) merchandise. They’ll soon be recognized as the stars of “Resale Royalty” on Style Network. A Fenton man was recently announced as one of more than two dozen participants to spar in tonight's premiere of FX's "Ultimate Fighter." Adam Cella, who trains at Finney's MMA in Crestwood, will compete against international contestants for the chance to earn an Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) contract. Tonight's two-hour season debut will whittle the 28 prospects down to 14 season cast members. Remaining fighters will continue to train and face off against each other until a contract winner is declared. A St. Louis-area man was announced Wednesday as one of 28 participants to spar in the upcoming season of FX's "Ultimate Fighter," which debuts Tuesday, Jan. 22. Middleweight fighter Adam Cella, who trains at Finney's MMA in Crestwood, will compete against international contestants for the chance to earn an Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) contract. The 27-year-old is 4-0 in his professional MMA career and also dabbled in kickboxing. Cella, who grew up in Imperial, told Knuckle Junkies last year it was his "goal to get on TV." With a flair for Cajun-style favorites, a party atmosphere and all around good food, Highway 61 Roadhouse in Webster Groves is about to be featured on the Food Network show, "Diners, Drive-Ins and Dives" hosted by Guy Fieri. The spunky food guru known for his spiky hair and wearing his sunglasses behind his head, Fieri's mug now dons the walls of the Roadhouse posing in pictures from the show shoot this summer. The restaurant is featuring a special plate sampler of the three dishes to be highlighted on the show: BBQ spaghetti, CajAsian potstickers, and red beans and rice.
