Sept. 29: A man at Whitecliff Park, who claimed he gave his friends his wallet to watch temporarily, said he discovered money missing when it was returned. Oct. 1: A shoplifter walked out of Kohl's, 9701 Watson Rd., with $1,800 in merchandise. The haul included two sets of bed sheets and a watch, according to Crestwood Police. Oct. 2: Several tools, including a circular saw, drill kit, and drill bits, were taken from a home being renovated on Joann Place. The items were taken sometime between Sept. 27-Oct. 1. Oct. 2: A customer walked out of Schnuck's, 9540 Watson Rd., with a bottle of Smirnoff vodka, a bottle of Grey Goose vodka, and a bag of Combos. Oct. 3: A customer left without paying at Mobil on the Run, 9950 Big Bend Blvd.

Theft Sept. 29: Employees at Marshall’s, 10780 Sunset Hills Plaza, said they saw a customer run out of the store, and believe it was with stolen merchandise. Police are still working with the store to determine if any items were taken. Oct. 1: A customer drove off without paying at Circle K, 1435 S. A business on Watson Plaza accepted two altered checks on Aug. 14. The value of the checks is not known, but police said Visa debit cards were purchased. A resident on Larchwood reported their car tire was punctured on Aug. 12.

Sunset Hills residents were not the only ones to experience damage to their cars this past week. A vehicle owner reported a dent to their car on Bali Court on Aug. 6. A vehicle owner reported their car window had been smashed while parked in a lot on Watson Plaza, also on Aug. 6. No items were taken from the vehicle, according to Crestwood police.

Sunday, June 17 A car windshield was broken on Apex Drive. Monday, June 18 Kohl's logged another shoplifting incident of clothing. Graffiti was noticed on a wall on the 8100 block of Sappington Road. Wednesday, June 20 A gas drive-off occurred at the Mobil on the Run at Big Bend, adding to two incidents from last week's report.

Kohl's seems to be routinely taken for a ride and as for gas drive offs, why not install prepay technology -- no pay, no gas.   more ›
