Lindbergh High School Student Recognized by Crestwood-Sunset Hills Chamber

Stephanie Lake was named the Chamber's November Student of the Month.

The Crestwood-Sunset Hills Chamber of Commerce and this month's sponsor, Saale Chiropractic PC, represented by Dr. Mary Saale, honored Stephanie Lake of Lindbergh High School as the November 2012 Student of the Month. Lake, who is a senior at Lindbergh, has earned a GPA of 3.923 and is ranked 10th in her class. She continually challenges herself by taking honors courses, including three in her senior year. Lake has been an accomplished member of the varsity poms all four years at LHS. Along with her dedication to excellence in her education, Lake makes time to teach dance class to younger children three nights a week, teaches children each week at her church, and babysits for two families. The Crestwood-Sunset Hills Chamber of Commerce and this month’s sponsor, Sylvan Learning Center, represented by Jamie Rains, honored Nathan Comerio of South Technical High School as the September 2012 Student of the Month.  He received a Chamber Certificate of Recognition, along with an Office Max Gift Card.  Comerio started welding one year ago and since then has gone from beginner to capturing numerous awards both statewide and nationwide.  While he likes the technical aspect of welding, he has become passionate about the artistic possibilities he has discovered and realizes that blending the two would allow him to express his …

South Tech Student Named Crestwood-Sunset Hills Chamber's Student of the Month

Anjuli Farha attends South Tech and Affton high schools, studying court reporting and broadcast captioning.

Senior Anjuli (Juli) Farha was named the Crestwood-Sunset Hills Chamber of Commerce's Student of the Month for October. She attends Affton High School and South County Technical High School, where her concentration is broadcast captioning/court reporting.  Farha was recently named a National Merit Scholarship semifinalist, and has a 4.375 GPA. She has acheived the bronze level in the station competition for Technical Math. Farha has received nods from South County Technical School for outstanding academic achievement, and Student of the Week.  Farha took summer classes at St. Louis Community College, and is eligible for an internship this year. In her spare time, she volunteers at her church, and with the World Bird Sanctuary.  According …

Crestwood-Sunset Hills Chamber of Commerce Installs New Board of Directors

The first luncheon of 2012 kicked off with Tracy Mazanec of Truman Bank as the new board president and emcee.

The Crestwood-Sunset Hills Chamber of Commerce kicked off 2012 with the installation of two new Board of Directors members—Nicole Russell of Computer St. Louis and Mike Kempf of Shaggy Sounds DJ. Diana Lineberger of Prudential Select Properites and Tracy Mazanec of Truman Bank were both reelected to serve 3-year terms. Outgoing Chamber President Richard Bayers handed the new luncheon emcee duties over to incoming president Mazanec, who then introduced the Student of Month. This month’s student was Genevieve Agar from Thomas Jefferson School. She was sponsored by Heartland Bank. Agar is studying calculus, literature, French, Greek, tap dance and yoga all with high honors. She also is co-editor of the school newspaper; is an accomplished …
