Approximately $6,300 in valuables have been recovered, Sunset Hills Police said.
A resident in the 11700 block of Parkhaven Court called Sunset Hills Police on Feb. 6 when they discovered several items, including jewelry and other collectibles, missing from the home. Officers responded to the home around 12:33 p.m., according to the report, and discovered forced entry to the home. Approximately $44,000 in valuables was taken. Missing items totaling approximately $6,300 have been recovered, police said. A suspect has not yet been taken into custody.

Ballwin man became a suspect after officers discovered his sister sold a large amount of scrap metal, according to Sunset Hills Police.
A Ballwin man was indicted by a St. Louis County grand jury Jan. 30 on charges that he stole items valued at $12,720 from a construction site on Grandview Lake Drive in Sunset Hills. Eric Steck, faces four counts of felony stealing in St. Louis County Circuit Court. Sunset Hills Police said Steck broke into trailers on construction sites where homes are being built four times between Sept. 17 and Sept. 27. Police said he stole aluminum window bucks, aluminum fractions and other construction material. Steck was developed as a suspect after his sister, Stephanie Craig, sold a large amount of scrap metal, according to a report. Craig has not been charged. A man forced his way into a women’s restroom at a Sunset Hills gas station Thursday, assaulted his girlfriend and stole her purse, police said. Christopher Memhardt, 36, of the 1000 block of Sanford Avenue in the city of St. Louis, was charged Friday with second-degree domestic assault and second-degree robbery. Sunset Hills Police said the two were arguing, and the woman got out of the car to use the restroom at the BP gas station at 4504 Lindbergh Blvd. Memhardt forced his way into the restroom and punched the woman repeatedly in the face, police said. The following information was supplied by court documents. It does not indicate a conviction where an arrest was made. A man used a fake credit card to buy $4,182 worth of stereo equipment from stores in Manchester and South County, Manchester Police said. Erskine Yarbrough, of the 300 block of Fillmore Street in South St. Louis, was charged Monday with two counts of felony stealing. St. Louis County Police said Yarbrough bought a DVD receiver, two subwoofers and other stereo equipment from the South County Audio Express, 5616 South Lindbergh, in the Concord area, with a fraudulent prepaid credit card on Aug. 20. The equipment was valued at $2,180. Manchester Police said Yarbrough then used the same card on Aug. 21 to get $2,003 in stereo …
