Lambert-St. Louis International Airport Safety Tips for Thanksgiving Travel

Avoid having to throw out personal items or missing your flight due to a longer screening process at Lambert with these tips.

Thanksgiving is one of the busiest travel times for U.S. airports, according to AAA. Lambert- St. Louis International Airport (Lambert) is no exception. In fact, Lambert expects to see a 10 to 15 percent daily increase in passengers each day through the holiday. What will be the busiest day at the airport? Nov. 25, the Sunday after Thanksgiving. Sundays are typically the busiest travel day of the week. Missouri State Highway Patrol Urges Thanksgiving Weekend Driver Safety

The Patrol will conduct two special traffic enforcement projects to help decrease crashes, fatalities.

Many Missourians are sure to travel over the upcoming Thanksgiving weekend. If you are leaving St. Louis County and hitting the highways, the Missouri State Highway Patrol reminds motorists that this will change traffic patterns. Drivers also should be reminded to make sure your car is in good condition before beginning the trek to visit the family. Be well-rested before taking the wheel and of course, always buckle your seat belts. To further efforts in decreasing traffic crashes and fatalities over the holiday weekend, the Patrol is conducting two special traffic enforcement projects.
