The Teachers' Lounge, a family-owned educational supply store, and the Affton Chamber of Commerce celebrated the store's move to a larger space with a ribbon cutting ceremony on Feb. 19. The Teachers' Lounge moved to 21 Ronnie's Plaza from Mehlville in November. Owners Laura and Scott Gurley opened the business in August 2007. Laura, who has a teaching background, selects the the store's products for their educational value. The new storefront includes a classroom space for meetings and workshops. The Gurleys are working to offer tutoring services, early childhood classes, and birthday parties.
