ReplyThank you to the St. Louis County Planning and Zoning Commission for listening to the constituents in the neighborhood, and also for wisely vetoing poor use of already-zoned property in a highly residential area.
We are hopeful that the St. Louis County Council will take to heart and agree with the recommendations of the Planning Commission. -

ReplyNote: This column was filed only minutes before the tornado touched down in Sunset Hills on New Year's Eve less than a mile from here. Rather than complain about some moisture in the basement, prayers for the families who lost their homes and for the rescue forces that were on the scene within minutes.

ReplyFor the record: my mom thinks that it is Uncle Ted Eime in the photo, not Uncle Herb. She can tell by the curly hair. The photo is barely in focus! She loves seeing her Grandma looking a bit like the Queen Mum in that coat and hat!

Thanks to the St. Louis Planning and Zoning Commission for recommending that the St. Louis County Council reject a WalMart grocery store in South County. Here's hoping that the Council takes the recommendation to heart, and agrees with the Commission. The commission also listened, as strong neighborhoods spoke up.
