Growlers Pub Closes: "The Timing Is Right," Owner Says

Growlers Pub, 3811 S. Lindbergh in Sunset Hills, has closed after 18 years in business, the business announced in a news release Saturday.

Owner Carl Bolm thanked customers and staff, but said in the release, "the timing is right to close now. The pub's lease is up and coupled with the poor economy it was just best to close the doors."

The parking lot has already been blocked off with traffic cones with a 'goodbye' message on its sign, according to a handful of Patch readers.

The bar--known best for its beer cards and beer graden patio--isn't the only Lindbergh Boulevard business to shutter. Wired Coffee closed its doors at the beginning of April.

Sunset Hills residents can still stop at O'Leary's, which started operating under a new owner this spring.
